What to use with the Oliē Peptide Serum. What to keep separate. Application order and timing to maximize how much of the NeoPep Complex reaches the dermis.
Dr. Neves — Founder & Chief Formulator, Oliē Skin
Peptides are not fragile — but they compete for absorption. If you apply a thick occlusive layer before the serum, the peptides stay on the surface. If you mix peptides with high-acid formulas at the wrong pH, you reduce efficacy. This guide removes the guesswork.
Use Together
Ingredients that work with the NeoPep Complex.
💧
Hyaluronic Acid
Ideal pairing. Apply HA serum before Oliē or mix in palm. HA increases skin hydration, which improves peptide absorption through the epidermis. Use in AM and PM.
Synergy
🌿
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Strong pairing. Niacinamide supports the skin barrier and reduces redness — both outcomes that complement collagen reactivation. Use before Oliē serum. AM or PM.

🧴
Ceramides
Use in your moisturizer after Oliē. Ceramides reinforce the skin barrier that peptides are working to rebuild. Look for ceramide NP, AP, or EOP in your moisturizer ingredient list.

☀️
SPF (mineral or chemical)
Not optional during this protocol. Peptide-stimulated collagen synthesis is UV-sensitive. SPF 30 minimum every morning, even indoors near windows. Apply last in AM routine.
Required AM
Keep Separate
Ingredients that conflict with the protocol.
⚠️
Retinol / Retinoids (first 2 weeks)
Do not use retinol on the same nights as Oliē for the first 14 days. Both are active ingredients that stimulate cell turnover — layering them in Week 1 and 2 can cause unnecessary irritation. From Week 3 onward, alternate nights is acceptable.
Separate
⚠️
AHA / BHA Exfoliants (same session)
Glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid: use in a different session or on alternating nights. Acids lower skin pH significantly, which disrupts the environment peptides need to bind to receptors. Wait at least 30 minutes between application, or use on alternate nights.
Alternate
⚠️
Benzoyl Peroxide
Oxidizes and degrades peptide bonds on contact. Do not apply benzoyl peroxide and the Oliē serum in the same session. If you use both, apply BP in AM and Oliē in PM exclusively.
Never Layer
🔵
Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid)
Compatible when used at different times. Vitamin C is best in AM (antioxidant protection) and Oliē is most effective in PM (overnight repair cycle). If you want to use both in AM, apply Vitamin C first, wait 15 minutes, then apply Oliē serum.
Time It
Application Order
The correct layering sequence.
1
Cleanser
Clean surface required. Residue and sebum block absorption. Pat dry — leave slightly damp.
2
Toner or Essence (if used)
Apply water-based toners first. They prep pH and add hydration for better serum penetration.
3
Hyaluronic Acid or Niacinamide (if used)
Optional. If you use HA or niacinamide, apply here before Oliē. Both are thinner and penetrate first.
4
Oliē Peptide Serum — 3 to 4 drops
Press in, do not rub. Wait 60 to 90 seconds before next step. This is the most critical pause in the routine.
5
Moisturizer (ceramide-based preferred)
Locks the serum in. Creates the occlusive environment for overnight repair.
6
SPF 30+ (AM only)
Final step in AM. Never skip during the protocol.
